Haven’t updated since I posted by goals for Bout of Books 11. Since the beginning, I’ve read the first volume of Sex Criminals by Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky and finished Inkheart by Corneila Funke which I had started before this week. Just today I finished We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. A lot of people have said that they read this book in one sitting - I’m not surprised. I’ve never read E. Lockhart before, so her style of writing was confusing at first. Once I got past the first third of the book though I couldn’t put it down. Fantastic read.
I’ve participated in the daily challenges for Bout of Books and some of the twitter events. It’s been fun so far and I really want to partake more in the Saturday twitter chat.

Now that it’s the second day of Bout of Books 11, I have a better idea of how much reading I’m likely to get done. So I thought I’d write down my goals.
Time reading: Yesterday, I spent very little time reading. For the rest of the week I want to maintain an average of three hours of reading per day.
Challenges: Yes to all the challenges!
Books: I posted a TBR, but that is quickly disintegrating. Instead of maintaining a TBR that I may grow bored of, I’ll make up a ‘list’ as I go and pick new a book once I’m done with one. Eventually I want to start a book review blog, so I also want to start taking notes for reviews. I probably won’t write/post the reviews during Bout of Books (time that could go to reading obviously!).

Anyway, I hope everyone’s having a good readathon!
Flailing, not failing!
Given that Bout of Books 11 starts in one day, this is kind of a last minute-decision endeavor. And I’ve never done a read-a-thon before. And I’m a slower-than-average reader. But no matter! I’m going to do this anyway.

I really don’t know how what I’m going to do for challenges and goals, but because of the societal pressure of living up to things I put on the internet, here is my TBR:
DC: The New Frontier Vol 1&2 by Darwyn Cooke
The Hundred-Foot Journey by Richard C. Morais
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Emma by Jane Austen
My Name is Red by Orhan Pamuk
I may change these depending on how I feel and what I dig up from my bookshelf.
14 year old me would kick my 22 year old butt at this challenge. I’ll try to live up to her expectation. Good luck all and happy reading!
